The on-site Lakeside Restaurant serves meals you enjoy, with live music on Saturday nights. It operates separately from the lodge, so breakfast is not included. The food quality is good, but service can be hit or miss-reservations may not be honored promptly. Room service is available, though cutlery and cooking can be inconsistent.
Pool, Spa, and Outdoor Activities
The year-round outdoor pool is heated, but a net over it prevents ducks from swimming, so you won't be able to use it. The spa offers full-body, foot, and couples massages. You can rent bicycles, go fishing on property (the dam is overgrown with grass), or cycle into town. A shared lounge and terrace are available.

Critchley Hackle Lodge sits on the edge of Dullstroom, a short walk from the main road with shops and restaurants. Dullstroom Railway Station is 2.1 km away, Bergendal Monument 43 km, and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport 180 km. The grounds feel peaceful, with a view of the dam and well-kept gardens.
