Thatched Rondavels
The five luxury rondavels at Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge are built in the traditional cone-on-cylinder African hut design. Each includes mosquito nets, air conditioning, a safe, and an en suite bathroom with both a bath and a shower. All rooms offer either river or pool views.
Inclusive Dining
All meals are included in the rates. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served plated, with a choice of main course ordered in advance. The menu features traditional South African flavors. Local wines, beers, and spirits from Alvi's Drift are included. The Amarula is offered with coffee on morning game drives and after dinner.
Safari & Pool
The lodge specializes in guided walking safaris and game drives. A maximum of six guests sit in one vehicle. Game drives are offered twice daily, morning and evening. There is an outdoor splash pool with sun loungers and a viewing deck overlooking the Klaserie River. Board games and a shared lounge area are available.
Wildlife Location
The lodge is situated within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, which shares open boundaries with the Kruger National Park. Eastgate Airport is 80 km away. The access roads are rugged; a private transfer or shuttle is recommended. The lodge offers an airport shuttle and a shuttle service.
Services & Staff
Staff provide daily housekeeping, an ironing service, and luggage storage. Free WiFi, fax, and photocopying are available. The lodge has a safety deposit box, key access, and non-smoking rooms. Facilities for disabled guests and a wheelchair-accessible entrance are available.
